I’m half-white and half-black... While my genetic heritage has created a grey area around my self-identification, keeping me on both sides of the fence, I’ve learned to embrace it. To explain who I am, where I came from, and how proud I am to be a tough, happy mixed-race lady."

WHY WE LOVE MEGHAN MARKLE.

1.Don’t Give in To the Pressure

The media hasn’t been kind to Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who’s the only family member present at the wedding. She didn’t have any cousins, aunts, or uncles, did she?

Meghan had only her mother on her side in a world where numbers are prized. Sometimes all you need is that one individual who has stayed true to themselves since the beginning.

2. Always Keep Smiling

Take a closer look at that bright smile. You’d think she’d show fewer of her teeth after being formally named a member of the British Royal family as the Duchess of Sussex.

3. Simple Is Best

It’s a wedding, after all! Meghan seems unmoved by the fact that the entire globe stopped to watch her wedding. She wore her hair in a low bun, with stray strands tumbling out and proudly flaunting her freckles.
There was barely any make-up on her face, and she wore a basic but lovely dress.
